Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Ransom Riggs

This is a fascinating story! I loved it!

I took a six hour road trip (then six hours home) and this was the perfect book to be stuck in a car with. The writing was fantastic. I was very surprised to learn that this is Riggs first novel. He writes with a clarity and ease and has such unique ideas, that the book captivated me instantly.

The concept for the story was very original. I loved how the story was created through found photographs. The inspiration for the book itself was interesting and that was really reflected in the story.

The ending is done in such a way that it isn't a complete cliffhanger. It feel like there is some closure, but everything is not completely wrapped up, which for me was satisfying, but left me excited for the next book.

I think this is a promising series and cannot wait to continue!
