Rat Queens Vol. 2: The Far Reaching Tentacles of N'Rygoth - Kurtis J. Wiebe

Rat Queens is one of my favorite series. Not only are the characters hilarious and the plot intensely intriguing, but the artwork is amazing. The battle scenes are vivid and gorey, but also the women themselves are portrayed as confident without being overly sexualized. Even during sex scenes, the characters are portrayed with positive sexuality, rather than like they putting on a show for readers. It's so much better than the ridiculous poses that superhero comics tend to put women in.

There is just as much magic and battle as the first book, and probably a little more intensity. You also get to see a bit into the character's backstories as well, which rounds out the characters while still furthering the plot.

This is perfect.
